This term, as part of our journey to become a School of Sanctuary, year 5 were lucky enough to have a visit from a gentleman, named Karma, who was a refugee from Tibet. Our year 5 pupils interviewed Karma and were enthralled by is amazing story; how he left his home at just 12 years of age and travelled alone for 3 months with only a few belongings. The children asked mature questions in a very sensitive manner and showed incredible empathy. What a fantastic opportunity for our pupils!

Reading Rewards continue this term so please encourage your child to read a minimum of three times per week and record their home reading in their reading record books. Don't forget about Bug Club! 20 stickers are needed this term to qualify.
